| - HOW IS MOVIE NET DIFFERENT THAN OTHER MEDIA CENTERS? Most media centre's "Double Up" as a Personal Computer. As most are well aware, a majority of home PC's will at some stage or other end up running much slower than they once did, may have "Pop Ups" and may become infected by virus. MovieNET is NOT a Personal Computer, it cannot be used for day to day tasks, and cant have MSN messenger or Skype installed on it, and therefore is not prone to "Slowing down" and is not subject to "Pop Ups" and "Viruses" its sole purpose is entertainment and nothing more. |
| - IS MOVIE NET HARD TO USE? No, general usage of MovieNET is done completely by remote control. More advanced features (such as the backing up of your DVD's) are detailed in the easy to follow manual. |
| - CAN I WATCH BLU RAY MOVIES? Yes the "Premium" model has a built in Blu Ray player and can be used as a stand alone player. |
| - DO I STILL NEED MY DVD / BLU RAY PLAYER? No, the "Premium" model has a built in Blu Ray / DVD play and the "Standard" Model has a built in DVD player. |

| - CAN I USE HDMI? Yes, the "Premium" model has a native HDMI connector which delivers 1080p resolutions and carries digital sound. |

| - I HAVE AN OLDER CRT TV, CAN I USE MOVIE NET? Yes, a converter is available to allow MovieNET to connect to an older CRT Television. The converter provides you with 3 composite connectors, 1 Video / 2 Audio (L-R Stereo). |
| - DO I NEED THE INTERNET? The internet is not required for MovieNET to operate, however an internet connection is required to allow the downloading of movie and music information such as covers / plots and cast information. |
| - CAN MOVIE NET USE MY WIRELESS ROUTER? Yes, The "Premium" model has a built in wireless network adapter. The "Standard" model has an optional wireless adapter. |
| - DO I HAVE TO PAY A SUBSCRIPTION TO USE MOVIE NET? No you don't. |
| - WILL MOVIENET CONNECT TO MY AMPLIFIER / RECIEVER? Yes, MovieNET delivers crystal clear surround sound through either a Coaxial or Optical interface (or via a HDMI cable) |
| - HOW DO I BACKUP MY DVDS ONTO MOVIE NET? MovieNET has built in functions to backup your DVD's |
| - CAN I REMOVE MENUS FROM MY DVD BACKUPS? Yes, during the backup process there is an option to remove the Menus, Special Features, and extra audio tracks. |
| - IS THERE ANY QUALITY LOSS DURING THE BACKUP OF MY MOVIES? You have the option to either make an exact copy with no quality loss, or you can compress the movie to conserve storage space with minimal loss of quality. |
| - HOW DO I CHANGE COVERS FOR MY BACKED UP MOVIES? The "Media Manager" tool in the MovieNET menu guides you through the process of setting up movie covers / plots and other information. |
| - HOW MUCH STORAGE DOES MOVIE NET COME WITH? The "Premium" model includes an internal storage device of 2 Terabytes or 2000 Megabytes, which holds approximately 500 DVD movies along with your other media. The "Standard" model includes an "External Storage Unit" with a 1 Terabyte capacity, which will store around 250 DVD movies along with your other media. |
| - I NEED MORE ROOM FOR MOVIES, CAN THE STORAGE AMOUNT BE UPGRADED? Yes, storage can be increased at either 250 or 500 movie increments using "External Storage Units" which plug into the rear of your MovieNET set top box. |

| - I HAVE MORE THAN ONE MOVIE NET, DO I NEED MULTIPLE BACKUPS OF MY MOVIES? If you have more than one MovieNET system in the same location which can be connected either by wire or wirelessly, it is possible for them to share movies. |
| - CAN I BACKUP BLU RAY DISKS? Not at the moment, however this feature will be available in the future and an update will be issued. |
| - CAN I DELETE SOME MOVIES IF I DON'T WANT THEM ANYMORE? Yes, you have complete control over your media collection. |
| - CAN I PLUG IN MY DIGITAL CAMERA TO MOVIE NET? Yes, provided the camera does not require additional software to be installed |
| - CAN I USE A USB STICK? Yes, simply plug in to the front USB connectors and the device will appear in the menus |

| - CAN I WATCH DVD DISKS THAT I HIRE FROM THE VIDEO SHOP? Yes, MovieNET can play any DVD |
| - WHY DO SOME OF MY DIGITAL VIDEO CAMERA MOVIES NOT WORK? Some digital video cameras, store video information in a proprietary or "Non Standard" fashion which requires the use of additional software to be able to "Understand" those movies. MovieNET will only play "Standard" video formats |
| - HOW DO I PUT MY PICTURES ONTO MOVIE NET? MovieNET includes all the tools required to get media from any storage device plugged into it. |
| - CAN MOVIE NET ACCESS FILES FROM MY HOME SERVER? Yes, if you have an existing network, MovieNET can be connected to either a workgroup or domain controller and access files from other computers and devices. |
| - HOW DO I UPDATE MOVIE NET? In the event MovieNET requires an update, a disk will be mailed to you to upgrade the unit. |
